About the Artist

Eimear lives and works in Northern Ireland, originally from County Tyrone and now based in Belfast. Growing up in the beautiful Irish countryside she developed a strong connection with nature and its vibrant colours, shapes and textures. Impressions buried in the mind of being immersed in the elements of the rugged and atmospheric Irish landscape, come to life through a semi-abstract style of painting.

Eimear’s paintings are created using acrylic paints and mixed media to build textured layers of colour. She describes her style as expressive, loose and atmospheric.

Photography corresponds with her paintings and inspires her creativity. Many of Eimear's semi-abstract landscape paintings are interpretations of her photos from travels and the inspiring Irish landscape. Eimear is available for family, product, interior, portrait and landscape photography. Photo prints can be purchased through the online shop.

Eimear encourages others to experience the benefits of creativity through art painting classes around Northern Ireland. Eimear facilitates painting workshops to groups for parties, health and wellbeing events and people interested in learning to paint. See upcoming workshops here.

What Inspires The Artwork?

“My inspiration comes from the atmosphere within the nature and landscape surrounding me. I have a strong belief in the healing benefits of being outdoors on our overall wellbeing. I crave the sea when I haven’t been in it. I see how we interact with nature as humans and how being immersed in its beauty and in the elements, particularly the forces of our Irish weather, can change how we feel physically and mentally. I long for adventure, exploring and travel, but I also have an appreciation for my daily humble surroundings and find inspiration around me each day.

Through creating art I aim to invite viewers to immerse themselves in the textures and movement within the painting. I hope that this will ignite a sense or emotion that reminds them of a certain time or place within their own memory.“
